Boulder Pad Terms and Conditions
1. Rental Period
The renter agrees to return the boulder pad one hour before close on the day of hire, in the same condition it was received, barring normal wear and tear. The bouldering pad is to be picked up and returned to Faultline Climbing, 235 Willis Street.
2. Rental Fees
The renter agrees to pay a rental fee of $25 for the boulder pad for one day. A valid credit card must be presented on pick up of the pad. If you are do not have a credit card, a debit card is required on pick-up of the boulder pad and we will hold onto a valid ID. If either of these options cannot be fufilled you may not rent the pad.
3. Renter’s Responsibilities
The renter acknowledges that they are responsible for the care and cleaning of the bouldering pad during the rental period. The bouldering pad must not be used in any manner other than its intended purpose (climbing outdoors). The renter agrees not to make any modifications to the boulder pad or use it in a way that could damage the equipment.
4. Damages or Loss
The renter is responsible for any damage to or loss of the bouldering pad during the rental period, including but not limited to rips, stains, or broken buckles. If the bouldering pad is damaged or lost, the renter will be charged for repair or replacement value of the pad, around $800.
5. Liability and Assumption of Risk
The renter acknowledges and agrees that climbing and bouldering are inherently dangerous activities, and the use of bouldering pads does not eliminate these risks. The renter assumes all risks associated with climbing and agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the Hangdog Adventures NZ LTD, its employees, and affiliates from any liability for injury, death, or property damage arising from the use of the bouldering pad.
6. Terms of Return
Any overdue returns will be subject to a late fee of $50 per day. If the pad is 5 days overdue, and no attempt to contact Hangdog Adventures NZ LTD has been made, the full cost of the pad will be charged to the renter. The bouldering pad must be returned clean and free of dirt, sand, grass, or debris. If cleaning must be undertaken by staff, there will be an additional cleaning fee of $25.
